ΒιΆΉΣ³» was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for ΒιΆΉΣ³»'s comprehensive financial report for the Fiscal Year 2023.
The achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by ΒιΆΉΣ³» and its management, according to GFOA.
Jill Fletcher, ΒιΆΉΣ³»'s Chief Financial Officer, and the ΒιΆΉΣ³» Business Office were recognized for compiling the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). Each year, ΒιΆΉΣ³» submits its ACFR to GFOA for review and evaluation by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to communicate the College's financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
